I think I've found a new contender for the best burger in Cape Town. It was made with the most magnificent meat - I forget the credentials - minced wagyu perhaps, generously portioned, a lovely tangy sauce, pickles, the perfect bun, and a slice of cheese for R65. You can get it sans cheese for R55 - which ought to terrify other restaurants in the vicinity, but probably doesn't because people don't seem to know about this place, and continue to eat in the overpriced tourist traps nearby. Granted, it's a takeaway, so you have to find your own seat, but on a sunny day, there are worse places to sit than on the steps overlooking the harbour.
