My husband and I went for the winter special, as a way to try this restaurant. The tempura and tuna tartare starters were lovely, although the tartare had a little too much soy through it which became overpowering after a while. We both had the noodles with duck for main, which had a delicious broth but the duck was tough and I don’t think it would be worth its usual full menu price. The dessert was a miso ice cream which was also delicious, but such an insanely small portion - about a quenelle’s worth and that was it! The service was impeccable, and the owner treated us to a sake tasting after we so enjoyed the sake we’d ordered, and then also gave us a tasting of one of his top shelf Japanese whiskeys. Overall we had a lovely night, but without the special I think I would have left feeling that the food was overpriced.
