Glorious bibimbap and bulgogi! We feasted on pork and deboned beef bulgogi, which is cooked on the table in a searing hot wok-like thing. The lovely female owner (who doesn't seem to speak much English) demonstrated how to make a little parcel with lettuce, some of the sauce chilli and meat. The meat had been basted in a sweet soy sauce, and with the fresh crunchy lettuce, it was delicious. The bibimbap, which I have had here once before, was also delicious. (That's a bowl of rice, egg, meat and veggies that's also cooked on the table in a searing hot bowl.) You're supposed to stir it, but I love it when the rice gets a bit crispy at the bottom.
Sure, it's pretty brightly lit inside, but fortunately this little restaurant has a bevy of followers, so it's likely there'll be some other customers to add a bit of buzz. We also tried the spicy tuna - which was indeed spicy - similar flavours to the kimchi - the sweet and sour chicken (okay but rather try the other dishes).
A great spot to try if you're in the mood for something different.
