Don’t let them touch your clothes.
My partner and I dropped off laundry to have it washed, as we have for over a year, except this time it came back with pink stains over several articles, completely ruining them. This is not the first time our clothes had been washed together but this was the first time they had ever been damaged. After informing I Love My Laundry that something terrible had happened in their machine (a story I have also heard from another customer) they informed me that they would have to charge me to try and take the stains out. I must say that they get bonus points for intelligence and service, as the several rand of income they would get for running my clothes through the wash again and attempting to rectify their error (or mine, as they see it) certainly exceeds the money that our continued service and that of our friends would bring in. Good job, guys.
