Dear All, We (Raith Gourmet - Gardens Center) have been contacted for a large meat order. All alarm bells already went off when the order was placed, but the obviously fake banking Payment Proof was evidence enough. The details: A Mr. Michael Adams contacted us to order R4,000 worth of Lamb (no cuts specified and no query on what our per/kg price is), R3,000 Chicken Drumsticks (again, no question of our per/kg price) and also R4,000 worth of Beef Steak (no price queried, nor cut spec requested…) The email address given was futuretransport4u@gmail.com (no way to check / trace) and phone numbers: 081 562 1562 (of a Ms Lee Ann Williams “Accounts”), 061 462 6564, 021 955 7050 081 510 4349 These phone numbers are for two people – “Michael Adams” and “Lee Ann Williams” The same scam (presumably by different scammers) was done 2 years ago. We had involved the police then, but think in this case, it would be easiest to simply spread the word to as many butchers / suppliers out there, to be vigilant and pay attention!
