On Sunday 28 September, whilst eating lunch, my partner came across a SHARD OF GLASS IN HIS FOOD!!! The manager (assistant), whose name we did not get, was called to our table.
The glass was pointed out to him - to which he replied that it must have broken off the salt/pepper grinder!!??? (This leads to more questions, i.e. why are you using old salt/pepper grinders that have clearly been refilled way too many times).
The meal was replaced - giving the restaurant and the assistant manager the benefit of the doubt. This was clearly a mistake:
Not once did the manager apologise for what was found in my partner's meal; nor did he come round to our table again to find out if everything was ok.
To make matters worse, when my partner emailed Richard Kelly - Manager and part-owner of the restaurant regarding the incident didn't actually have the decency to reply!!!
Word of mouth is very powerful - and I am going to make it known that our complaint was CLEARLY DISMISSED when it was pointed out to management; and to date, nothing has been done.
