I wasn't too surprised - given how delightful this cafe is - to find it full even on a quiet Tuesday night at 9pm, despite being in the midst of the suburbs. I loved the minty interior and friendly staff. I tried the meringue topping for the first time - plus the chocolate sauce - which, in retrospect, was probably a little much, but I've always had a problem with restraint! Both were delicious - I was disappointed at first to see that the chocolate sauce was so thin, but it's got a good quality chocolate flavour. (I guess I was hoping for a ganache-y kind of thing though, which set on top of the ice cream...) Best of all, the ice cream was creamy, smooth and as fresh as a punnet of strawberries picked right from the farm.
