Meet Lindo. Born and raised in the Khayelitsha, Cape Town, Lindo is a fun and highly energetic young lady who loves to watch movies and enjoys listening to chamber music.

Lindo comes from a small family and lives with her mom and two younger siblings.

Currently, Lindo is completing her Eat Out internship with My Place Group and is working at the Mojo Market in Sea Point both at Dashi Poke and Slovaking Delicious.

With a passion for working and interacting with customers, she loves the vibe and energy of the bustling market. Working alongside a talented team, Lindo has been able to learn a range of skills and is provided with constant professional support.

Cooking is not the only passion of Lindo’s as she hopes to pursue a career in acting – envisioning herself working on a cruise liner and travelling the world soaking in all the vibrant cultures and various cuisines. However, before she does this, she is eager to get into the Defy kitchen to upskill as much as she can.

“I am excited to start cooking in the Defy kitchen and try a few recipes from the masterclasses we attended during the year. This is where I will prepare myself for the fast-paced kitchens on the cruise ships. I can’t wait! Thank you for allowing us to do this, Defy!” Lindo says.
