The Breede River Valley has a brand new wedding venue, boutique guesthouse and restaurant. Designed by Coetzee Steyn, the show-stopping chapel has received international attention from the likes of Dezeen and Wallpaper. Made from concrete formwork, the wing-like chapel was inspired by Psalm 36:7, which reads, “How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.”

As for the food, the focus is on home-style farm recipes. Bosjes Kombuis is headed up by Kim Cox, with recipes by MasterChef SA judge Pete Goffe-Wood. Here’s a sneak peek inside.
