Young aspiring chefs, do you think you have what it takes to become a culinary genius? This could be you: Ayanda Matomela from Port Elizabeth was recently chosen as the winner of the 2016 Woolworths TASTE Eat Out Culinary Bursary. He will train as a professional chef for one year at either Silwood Cookery School (Cape Town, Western Cape), Prue Leith’s Chef’s Academy (Centurion, Gauteng), or Jackie Cameron School of Food & Wine (Hilton, KwaZulu-Natal). The scholarship will begin in 2017. Ayanda, a young food lover with a passion for cooking and people, accepted the prize at the recent Eat Out Mercedes-Benz Restaurant Awards at GrandWest in Cape Town. Watch the inspiring video below.
