Following a fire incident earlier this year, Wang Thais popular Somerset West branch has finally reopened.

Located at the corner of Helderberg College and Old Stellenbosch roads, on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountains, the refurbished venue offers breathtaking views of False Bay from the new cocktail deck.

Apart from the dramatic new exhibition kitchens where guests can watch the Thai chefs at work, the restaurant will continue to offer Wang Thai favourites such as Meang Khum (spinach leaves with peanuts, coconut, chilli, lemon, ginger, lemongrass and palm sugar sauce), the starter platter of prawn and duck spring rolls, corn cakes and chicken Satay, or the ever-popular Ped Yang (roasted duck with a red wine sauce).
