The Tasting Room at Le Quartier Francais received the highest accolade at the 2007 Eat Out Restaurant Awards ceremony on Sunday 25 November, when Eat Out editor Abigail Donnelly announced the popular Franschhoek eatery the winner of the Restaurant of the Year award.

Headed up by acclaimed chef, Margot Janse, the establishment is widely recognised as a top gourmet destination, having also been rated among the world’s 50 best restaurants for the third consecutive year.

The Tasting Room also scooped this year’s much coveted Eat Out Service Award.
