You may well have heard about our restaurant awards, but did you know we also have an awards program for small producers? From superb pasture-reared meat to the freshest organic veggies, great ingredients are the foundation of every great dish.
The awards were initiated in 2007 by our sister publication, Eat In, to celebrate outstanding South African producers. We’ve since swallowed up Eat In (we’re a greedy bunch, we know) and from 2013 the awards will be renamed the Eat Out DStv Food Network Produce Awards, giving us a chance to find and guide you to the people that start the process.
The 2013 produce awards will take place in March, and will be open to the public so stay tuned for details.
