Chris Black of Aubergine in Hillcrest is celebrating the restaurant’s 10th birthday with a menu of 10 signature dishes, one from each year the venue has been open.
The five starters and five mains (plus five desserts) will be featured until May 30. Two courses cost R150 and three R185.
The dishes include oak-smoked Franschhoek salmon on a warm chilli corncake with dill crème fraiche, caviar, red onion and lemon; snail and parsley risotto with bacon, red wine sauce and garlic chips; penne with honey-roasted butternut, cream, dukkah and Danish feta; and Thai-style linefish with a chilli coriander crust and crispy basil.
