Start the day off in style at Café Bascule

“A restaurant is a fantasy – a kind of living fantasy in which diners are the most important members of the cast.” – Warner Leroy (famous New York restaurateur)

After a year of serving steaming hot quality Bascule Blend coffee with sumptuous light lunch snacks, Café Bascule – the Bascule Bar’s daytime offering at the Cape Grace in Cape Town – now extends its menu to include breakfast.

Perfect for that long lazy weekend brunch with friends, the breakfast options seem extraordinarily tasty.

The Eggs Benedict – poached eggs on toasted English muffin with roasted black mushroom, bacon and parmesan hollandaise – as well as the Salmon Scrambled Croissant served with cream cheese are just two of the delicious delights prepared by the award winning Cape Grace kitchen.

Served either in the warmth of Bascule or outside on the marina’s wharf side, sip on a yummy beverage while you dine. Try the Bloody Mary (vodka, celery and tomato juice) as a brunch cocktail or The Mimosa, consisting of fresh orange juice, Cointreau and bubbly.

For those who prefer to save alcohol for the evening, the fruity mocktails are delicious too with The Energiser being a favourite…fresh berries, orange and apple juice, banana and vanilla sugar, blended with ice.

Café Bascule’s new breakfast offering is on offer from 7.30am to 4pm daily.
