If you want to sample a bit of everything and get the shisa nyama experience try a mixed grill with steak, pork and wings. Shisa nyama is aways cooked well done so don’t expect medium rare steak but even with being well done the chuck steak is tender and juicy. The wings are succulent and liberally spiced. The ribs meals at Kasi Cookhouse is particularly good. It’s a large portion of ribs for just R100 that are juicy and tender.

The marinade is sweet, sticky and savoury and the ribs fall off the bone. The best part of your meal at Kasi Cookhouse is sure to be the homemade chips, they are some of the best slap tjips you’ll ever have – some crispy, some sloppy, with a spicy seasoning.
