Food

Fyn has a magnificent open-plan kitchen that adds to the unique experience you’ll find nowhere else in Cape Town. Expect top-class interactive table service, intricate Japanese-style plating techniques and ingredients you probably haven’t tried before.

The experience menu comes highly recommended – the full house in terms of what will be brought to your table – and an extensive amount of effort is put into this meal. On the dinner menu you’ll start with a chutoro and ikura (tuna and caviar) hand roll followed by plate after plate, including a Hokkaidō milk bun with burnt mushroom custard and Outeniqua springbok with kabocha squash. Dessert is wagashi – an array of Japanese confections as beautiful as they are delicious.

The educational aspect of Fyn is exceptional – you’ll leave knowing more about Japanese and Afro-fusion than you ever did before.
