The food is overall delicious – the speciality here is steak, and it shows. All steaks are grilled to perfection and remain tender and succulent. The restaurant doesn’t claim to re-invent the wheel, keeping their offering simple and focussing on their strength as a grill house.

Bo Vine boasts an impressive wine list with plenty fabulous choices. The Saronsberg shiraz is a treat, with a justifyably staggering price tag, with its smoky, herby qualities pairing excellently with the unctuous, butter-tender hangar steak.
The versatile nature of Journey’s End cabernet Franc lends itself to a variety of adequate pairing – a recommended dish with which to pair it with is the braised Wagyu beef cheeks.
There is a selection of dessert wines to be enjoyed at the end of your meal, the Iona noble late harvest comes highly recommended paired with the Malva pudding.

The service is good, albeit slow at times. The waiters work together as a team and make sure each guest is well looked after. The waiters have a good knowledge of the menu, the wine on offer and are eager to recommend their favourite dishes.
The ambience can be a bit dead during the week, but comes alive over the weekend, particularly on Sundays which are easily their busiest day of the week. The reception is warm and welcoming at all times, even during quiet times.
Thanks to the prime spot in which Bo Vine is situated, it is a magnet for hungry tourists and locals alike. Situated on busy Victoria Road, the traffic can be a little loud, but it doesn’t take anything away from the overall atmosphere.
