Heads up, jacaranda city, a trendy new gin bar has opened in your hood at Carbon Bistro in Brooklyn, Pretoria.

The small but fully-stocked bar opened for first rounds last week and is already creating quite a buzz with locals. The bar is stocked with 40 local and imported craft gins, with everything from the classic Beefeaters Gin to oriental spiced Opihr, Wilderer’s fynbos infused version and Musgrave Gin’s rosewater-infused spirit. Staying true to the aromatic flavours of the drink, the bartender will be keeping it simple with gin martinis and G&Ts with Fitch & Leedes tonic. The bar is also offering jazz evenings and gin pairing dinners in the restaurant.

The gin bar at Carbon Bistro is open from 11am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and on Sundays from 11am to 3pm. Keep your eyes on their Facebook page for upcoming gin tastings and jazz evenings.
