Craft Beer, Food & Wine Fair (Helderfontein Estate, Midrand)
This premium boutique craft fair will take place this Saturday 1 August and combines craft beer, wine tastings, gourmet food and entertainment in a beautiful outdoor environment. Robertson Wine Festival (Kievitskroon)
Experience a taste of the Cape winelands on Saturday and Sunday at the picturesque Kievits Kroon Country Estate just outside Pretoria. This festival will feature more than 20 leading wine farms and winemakers from the Robertson Wine Valley who will exhibit their delicious wines to sample and purchase. Street Food Festival (Maboneng)
The Johannesburg Street Food Festival takes place on 1 August at the Hazard Gallery in Maboneng. It will focus on traditional cuisine and street treats from around the African continent. There will be a jam-packed programme plus a food market offering favourites like pizzas and burgers as well as loads of local and authentic delicacies from smileys and mielies to mopani worms, bunny chows and gatsbys. SA on Tap Craft Beer Festival (Kings Park, Berea)
Hosted at the Kings Park stadium, this event will feature over 100 local hand-crafted brews, ciders, whiskeys and wines from 25 of SA’s best breweries. Beers on offer include Notties Draught Beers, Stellenbrau, Darling Brew, CBC and many more. Baha Taco Truck will also be there, serving up tasty Mexican tacos. Umhlanga Food and Music Festival (Umhlanga)
This foodie festival will be taking place this Sunday 2 August in grassy Chris Saunders Park. The event promises to be filled with good food, good beer and live music from Goldfish, Majozi and Desmond and the Tutus. South Africa’s top craft beers and wines will be on offer, as well as a range of tantalising artisanal foods such as juicy burgers from Republik and ice creams from Scoop Ice Cream. Hop and Vine Festival (Observatory)
This intimate boutique craft beer, wine and gourmet food festival will be held from Friday 31 July to Sunday 2 August. Attendees can look forward to celebrating South Africa’s artisanal beer- and wine-making culture. The finest brewers from around the Cape as well as top wineries will unite with Cape chefs, who will prepare cuisine to pair with the wide range of beers and wines on show.
