New venue, new menu for Societi Bistro

At the end of September this year, the much-loved Societi Bistro will bid the V&A Waterfront au revoir as it relocates to a brand new home at 50 Orange Street, Gardens.

Here, newly appointed Head Chef, Stefan Marais, will also present the second installment in his seasonal compositions menus.

Spring-fresh starters include caramelised onion pizzette with gorgonzola, pear and rocket, and  seared squid with chilli and mint.

Mains go local with rooibos duckling consisting of a confit leg, medium rare breast, stone fruit and bitter leaves; or medium rare venison served room temperature, with sweet potato and watercress, chocolate jus and truffled parsnip puree.

Menu prices have also been decreased as a result of Stefans commitment to sourcing the best produce at the right time of the year.

In anticipation of the big move, Societi will be closed for breakfast during the month of September.
