The Restaurant at Grande Provence has launched a brand new menu in time for the summer season.
Executive Chef Peter Tempelhoff describes the menu as ingredient-based with the emphasis on simple, non-confusing flavours.
I am really trying to move away from extremely rich sauces and garnishes, especially going into another hot Franschhoek summer, remarks Tempelhoff.
The new menu wil include such intricate but refreshing dishes as roasted orange glazed line fish with asparagus, rocket and tomato salad, parmesan cheese dressing and champagne-poached strawberries with vanilla panna cotta.
In celebration of the new summer menu, patrons are also invited to enjoy sundowners in the Angels Garden between 16:00 and 19:00, with cheese platters and a glass of wine for only R50.
