Much-loved Franschhoek eatery, The Restaurant at Grande Provence, has appointed Jacques de Jager as new excutive chef.
A graduate from the School of Food and Wine in Durban, De Jager is no stranger in the esteemed estates kitchen as he previously worked as assistant to the former executive chef, Peter Tempelhoff.
De Jager plans to build on Tempelhoffs reputation with his own interpretation of contemporary French cuisine.
The Restaurant at Grande Provence was recently voted as one of Eat Outs Top 10 Restaurants for 2007.
