Much-loved Franschhoek wine and fine dining establishment, Mont Rochelle, recently opened its Country Kitchen restaurant, adding a more relaxed twist to its allure as a favourite Winelands gourmet destination.
Chef Ymke Jamieson, previously of Au Jardin restaurant, aims to create food that is friendly and elegant with a Mediterranean-inspired menu.
Located inside the wine tasting facility, diners interested in matching their food and wine can also request wine tastings to be conducted at the table.
Specialities on the menu include favourites such as Coq au Vin with Mont Rochelle Artemis, Lamb Neck served with Polenta and Piperade and Boudin Blanc with Caramelised Onions.
