Celebrating the Mother Citys Mediterranean temperament, Cilantro restaurant in Hout Bay has undergone a fresh makeover in time for the summer season.
Owner-chef Samantha Housden, whose restaurant experience includes launching the Level 7 Café at the Tate Modern Gallery in London, updates the menu on a daily basis to allow for seasonal changes.
Diners can also look forward to her signature duck dishes which includes a pumpkin pie and honey-chai reduction pairing, or a port and chocolate sauce with vanilla risotto. Other daring duck combinations include beetroot mash & orange, lavender and honey glaze, or crème fraiche mash and peach beurre blanc.
