McDonalds, bastion of fast, unhealthy food, is now selling a burger sans buns. Called the ‘lettuce wrap’, the new burger is sandwiched between two enormous lettuce leaves, and is currently available in some branches in Australia.
According to CNN, (who honestly ought to have something more important to report on), in addition to the meat patty, the burger also contains cheese, tortilla chips, jalapenos, a pickle, guac, onions, beetroot and grilled pineapple.

Is this menu item any more healthy than an ordinary burger? Does the lettuce go all soggy from exposure to luke-warm meat patties? Do all the sauces leak out when you bite in? What is next, kale fries? Is the apocalypse nigh?
We have so many questions.
Ahahahaha all those questions are so accurate. Please don’t put the concept of kale chips out into the universe though, Katharine 😉
