The already lively pavement café atmosphere in Chartwell Drive has been given new impetus with the opening of Steak and Ale, a superior steakhouse with tables on the terrace, behind a glass frontage. The venison pie is only eclipsed by a benchmark burger. And the fillet with snails and gorgonzola sauce is noteworthy.
