The recently opened Summerfields River Lodge and Spa in Hazyview, set on a rose and Macadamia nut farm and in the middle of a leafy forest, is all about natural luxury, combined with pampering and sensual delights.

Apart from the oo-la-la spa treatments, the tented lodge features a delightful new Gourmet Kitchen run by chef Lienkie Erasmus, known in Lowveld foodie circles for local country cuisine.

Seasonal, freshly grown food is big on the menu with loads of homemade fare on offer, including fresh breads, chutney and mayonnaise. Summerfields calls it ‘old farmstyle meets upmarket country’.
