Attention doughnut super fans of Joburg: Krispy Kreme has announced that they’re opening their first store at The Zone in Rosebank on Wednesday 25 November – and in a move that’s likely to ensure a small stampede, they’ll be giving away vast quantities of their Original Glazed^TM doughnuts to the first few fans in line on the day. First in line is promised a dozen Original Glazed^TM doughnuts each week for a year, second in line will get the same for six months and third in line will receive the same for three months.

If you haven’t already pitched your tent for the spots, we have good news – the first 100 in line will also win more than their fair share of dough: a dozen Original Glazed^TM doughnuts every month for a year. From 101 to 200 in the queue will receive a dozen every month for six months and from 201 in line to number 300 will take home a dozen every month for three months.

To all who aren’t planning on joining the queue: we suggest you avoid scheduling any meetings in the Rosebank area on Wednesday. We assume the traffic will be backed up approximately to Randburg.
