If you’ve been missing your weekly dose of food-fuelled adrenalin, there’s good news: the first season of Junior MasterChef Australia is coming to SA screens this September.

In the show, young amateur cooks aged between 8 and 12 are tasked with creating a two-course meal in one hour. The series has four judges: Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris (both of whom acted as judges for the original version of the series, alongside Matt Preston), Aussie musician Anna Gare, and Australian celebrity chef Matt Moran. Over 5000 Australian children auditioned to be Junior MasterChef contestants.
 
The series, sponsored by Woolworths, debuts on 27 September 2012 on M-Net and will continue until the end of October.
