Situated in The Zone’s food court in Rosebank is a new popcorn bar that’s been taking Instagram by storm. Maverick and Jane only started popping last month, but has already gained a loyal following with gourmet flavoured popcorn and beautiful packaging.

The nostalgic-themed store has taken this timeless snack and spruced it up with some pretty glorious flavouring. Brought in all the way from Nebraska, the corn is popped with care on site and coated in real ingredients that are all additive-free. The sweet and salty seasonings include peppermint crisp, caramel, red velvet, and hazelnut Ferrero Rocher, or real melted cheese, herb and olive oil, and butter. Rumour has it that an ice-cream-and-popcorn combo is also in the works.

The price per box or jar of these gourmet popped treats ranges from R13 to R59. The team is also whipping up some gourmet slushies in kiwi and sour cherry flavours.

Maverick and Jane is situated in the food court at The Zone shopping centre in Rosebank next to Sweets From Heaven.
