A compact menu of seasonally appropriate food awaits you on the á la carte dinner menu. Everything is cooked with care and beautifully plated. Expect starters such as gravlax or a classic duck terrine offset with droplets of unusual tonka bean mayonnaise. Mains include succulent tranches of pork belly partnered with lentils, a sprinkle of dukkah spice and curlicues of crackling; moist braised lamb shoulder with slivers of dried olive; and the vegetarian buckwheat-and-mushroom broth with wild mushrooms, noodles and bok choy.
End the meal with bread-and-butter pudding topped with chai mascarpone, smoked cardamom ice cream and a perfect miniscule hot cross bun macaron.
Expect a creative selection of unusual high-end local varietals and vintages. There are recommended wine pairings for every stage of the meal.
Personalised, knowledgeable and unobtrusive. You’ll be asked for any dietary preferences when you book and for your online feedback afterwards.
There’s a sophisticated neutral interior with a fire for cold nights, and large doors opening onto a small walled garden for daytime dining. Comfortable upholstered seating encourages relaxed dining and total food appreciation.
On the last Sunday of every month, book for live jazz and a casual lunch.
