New Executive Chef, Luke Dale-Roberts, at the award-winning La Colombe restaurant at Constantia Uitsig wine estate is keeping their Secret Season Specials winter tradition this year, which means diners can taste some fab cuisine at fab prices.
Tuck into classic and modern French Cuisine (with Asian hints) with the choice of a 3-course lunch, with a carafe of Constantia Uitsig wine at R170 per person (4-course lunch R190); or a dinner special, starting at R210 per person for a 3-course, R230 for a 4-course and a 5-course culinary experience at R250.
Sister restaurant Constantia Uitsig will have a similar 3-course special – at R170 for lunch and R210 for dinner (including a carafe of Constantia Uitsig wine).
Who is Luke Dale-Roberts?
When previous chef Franck Dangereux left in 2006, La Colombe searched the world for his replacement and are pleased with their results!
Brit Luke Dale-Roberts trained at the prestigious Baur Au Lac Hotel in Zurich, Switzerland, which, back then was seen as one of the top five hotels in the world.
Luke has a wealth of international experience, but it has been his and his South African wife’s dream to return and live in Cape Town.
What’s changed?
Says Luke: ‘La Colombe diners may look forward to the legendary La Colombe experience they are accustomed to, but also to fresh cuisine that is honest, lighter and healthier, and technically flawless, to appeal to the new generation of global diners’.
