Gourmet feast at Grande Roche

On Saturday, March 13, Grande Roche Hotels acclaimed restaurant Bosmans will be hosting the first of four Gourmet Wine Experiences scheduled for the year.

The fine food and wine gala, hosted by Steenberg Vineyards winemaker Johan Loubser, will see a spread of canapés and a show-stopping five-course feast served up alongside Loubsers prized tipples. Prepared by Bosmans executive chef Roland Gorgosilich, the mouth-watering summer menu features smoked crayfish tail with sous vide egg and pea foam; chorizo oil-poached salmon, paprika-onion ragout and buttered vegetable broth; veal roulade with asparagus mushroom velouté and white truffle foam; a duo of duck with red cabbage, marinated figs and jus served on polenta; and an apple-buttermilk mousse, caramel croquant and iced Champagne soup. Rounding it all off will be coffee and petit fours.

The Bosmans Gourmet Experience costs R690 per person. Those wanting to linger a bit longer can opt for a special package that includes the Gourmet Experience, one nights stay at Grand Roche and a full English breakfast, for R1 800 per person.
