New restaurant, Le Bella Torro, will be hosting a gourmet dinner with Grande Provence wines on August 21.

Owner/chef Jaco Swanepoel, after 16 years in the trade, has bought and revamped what used to be the Corner Bistro on the corner of 4th Avenue and 6th Street in Parkhurst, calling it Le Bella Torro (‘Beautiful Bull’).

The menu provides French/Italian/World-style dishes devised by Jaco whose history includes cheffing at the Singing Fig restaurant in it’s Top Ten heyday, working as a Woolworths chef, GM of Wang Thai and two years working abroad.

Grande Provence gourmet dinner
The dinner will entail a three-course menu paired with Grande Provence Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and their new dessert wine, Angel’s Delight, which is only available from the estate itself.
