Rumour has it that Joburg often has some of the freshest fish in the country for offer on its restaurant menus.
Put this theory to the test and try out the new hotspot in Rosebank, fsh – a seafood and sushi restaurant.
With a wooden wrap-around deck outside and a sleek, clean-lined interior with modern graphic touches on the walls and bright red spot colours, fsh has a chic designer feel.
Fsh is the creation of Miki Milovanovic and Paul Christie (who together started the successful Doppio Zero chain of restaurants) as well as new partner, Jose dos Passos.
The restaurant features a long, beautifully-designed sushi belt, boasting original sushi combinations such as the Pink Panther – made from salmon, prawn and asparagus carpaccio and the Tina Tuna – a combination of tuna, grapefruit and teriyaki.
Apart from the sushi and seafood dishes, you can also dine on continental fare, such as lamb cutlets and grilled chicken breasts, while you glance over at the cooks in the open-style kitchen.
Also on offer is a champagne and oyster bar – great for relaxing after work.
