As part of celebrations for the 2015 World Class Global finals, in which 55 of the world’s best bartenders and mixologists will compete for the top prize, Cape Town’s Roodebloem Studios will host a 10-day cocktail-fuelled party. SA’s own Domenico De Lorenzo, from Molecular Bars in Johannesburg, will be amongst those fighting it out for this Michelin star of the cocktail world.
Roodebloem Studios in Cape Town will be hosting the World Class House, a 10-day cocktail party where guests will have the opportunity to mingle with master distillers, brand ambassadors and mixologists from around the world, while sipping on drinks served by previous World Class winners from a menu created especially for the occasion.
In addition to the four cocktail bars at the venue, some iconic brands will have a showcase space with activities to inform and entertain guests. The names include Bulleit Bourbon, Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Tanqueray Gin, bloody Mary cocktails with Ketel One vodka, Don Julio Tequila and Guatemalan Zacapa Rum.
The World Class House will be open from Friday 28 August to Saturday 5 September from 6pm until 11pm. Buy tickets online at www.theworldclasshouse.com for R180. (Only for guests over the age of 21.) To promote responsible drinking, World Class has partnered with Uber South Africa
