Dream of tucking into lavender-infused crème brulée whilst sipping on regional wines from the Bottelary area? The recently opened Mon Plaisir (‘my pleasure’) restaurant, outside Stellenbosch offers seasonal French ‘bistrot’ fare in simple and peaceful surroundings.

Mon Plaisir is situated on the Hartenberg Wine Estate and adjoins the Ons Genot guesthouse. One gets a feel of freshness, simplicity and passion with a sophisticated yet simple dining space and ‘bistrot’ style food made using fresh local produce.

Stocks for sauces are all carefully made from scratch as well as icecreams and sorbets. The wine list is peppered with Bottelary wine route selections, true to the essence of the area.

Mon Plaisir features a lounge, a fireplace in the dining room which can accommodate lengthy tables for large groups, and also an alfresco area on the terrace with peaceful views of the pond and countryside.

Open Wednesday to Monday for lunch and Monday to Saturday for dinner.
