This August, The Birdcage offers two delicious R65 specials: salmon and fresh herb fish cakes served with a rémoulade sauce and a fresh green salad drizzled with a citrus and honey dressing; or roast chicken, mushroom and tarragon pie with the same green salad and dressing.
This little food haven, owned by Lara Meter and good friend Sam Marvell, is fast becoming a runaway success. The menu also offers trendy local and international cuisine, including breakfasts and a harvest table on weekends.
