Two Shrimps Restaurant, situated at the Canelands Beach Club & Spa, has opened its doors in Salt Rock on KwaZulu-Natal’s North Coast.
The new fine-dining eatery boasts 180-degree views over the Dolphin Coast’s ocean, where diners can enjoy cocktails and culinary delights prepared by executive chef Shaun McGee, who has previous experience at Durban favourites such as Market, Greedy Buddha and The Oyster Box Hotel.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, Two Shrimps will offer locally inspired fine-dining fare that’s made to pair with the wine and cocktail offering. Early birds can enjoy breakfast offerings such as a frittata packed with smoked salmon, avo and crème fraîche or stuffed French toast with mascarpone and apple curd, while the sea-themed lunch and dinner offerings will include prawn po’ boy sarmies, fresh line fish of the day, seafood pasta and a decadent seafood platter with all the trimmings.
For those with tiny tots, the seaside restaurant also offers all-day kiddies’ menus with options like creamy mushroom pasta and beef fillet with cheese sauce.
Two Shrimps Restaurant is located at Canelands Beach Club & Spa for those wanting to make an overnight stay of it. The restaurant also caters for weddings, which can be hosted on the beach or in the restaurant itself.
