Your favourite spots for padkos this holiday

It’s all good and well to plan ahead for lunch spots and make reservations for dinner when you’re at home. But eating well is still a priority when you’re on the road, heading towards your favourite holiday destination. So where are the best places to make impromptu pit stops for padkos? We asked you for your favourites.

Eastern Cape

“Sophie’s Choice in Willowmore has great toasted chicken mayo sandwiches, good coffee and pretty antiques!” – Corli de Kock

 

KwaZulu-Natal

Midlands Kitchen at Windmill Garage in Nottingham Road, KZN. Free coffee, good doggie stop and an amazing food hall with different restaurants, so everyone can be happy.” – Joanne Hain

Western Cape

Peregrine is definitely the best.” – Beth van der Walt

Darren Leite agrees: “Definitely Peregrine and Houw Hoek Farm Stall!”

As does Verna Pretorius Thomas: “The one and only Peregrine! Definitely gets my vote.”

“I always struggle to decide between the pies at Peregrine Farm Stall and Houw Hoek Coffee Shop,” laments Katharine Jacobs, but Johan Van Schalkwyk has the solution: “Stop at the one on your way, and the other back. Works for me!”
