To celebrate the South African Ballet Theatres ninth birthday (and to raise much-needed funds for the organisation) Joburg restaurant Le Canard is hosting a series of ballet dinners in 2010 that are set to dazzle patrons of the arts and gourmands alike.
Kicking off the festivities on 9 February is the Gala Dinner in Nine Acts, which will feature a five-course meal prepared by top chefs including Vanie Padayachee, Reuben Riffel and Arnold Tanzer, paired with four performances by the stars of the SABT. The celebratory tipple of choice will be Ormonde Private Cellars gold-awarded Ondine label, which has just been appointed the SABTs official wine.
Tickets for the Nine Acts dinner cost R900 per person or R9 000 per table of ten, and all proceeds go towards the SABT.
