The first-class new 28-suite Adderley Hotel in central Cape Town (corner of Adderley and Longmarket streets), features an exciting new separately owned restaurant ‘Bowl’ on their first floor.
Their beautiful outdoor terraces – which seat 30 and 12 – have become a huge drawcard. Perfect for private functions, one gets spoiled with great views of the city.
The menu features ‘Euroasian’ cuisine from their British chef, Ian Cawkwell, who – they boast – was trained in the classic French tradition under Gordon Ramsay – need they say more!
Cawkwell has taken his English, French and Asian cooking influences and channelled them into one style – hence the term Euroasian.
While the cuisine is fine dining, the almost industrial looking interior, with red brick walls, black chairs and timber floors give it a more relaxed ambience.
Bowl is owner-operated by Eddie Dawson and partner Roy De Gouveia and while it does provide for the surrounding hotel, this is by no means their focus.
Sister restaurants include Wasabi, Wakame and Salushi.
We’re excited about this fab new addition to the city centre – tell us what you think!
