The announcement comes at an exciting time for George, following his recent recognition in 2024 as South Africa’s Best Young Sommelier by the South African Sommeliers Association (SASA).

George succeeds Bafana Zondo, who garnered his own accolades during his time at Dusk, including the prestigious Eat Out Woolworths Wine Service Award in 2023. This succession of talent underscores the restaurant’s commitment to maintaining exceptional wine service as a cornerstone of its dining experience.
