The Square Restaurant & Sushi Bar’s Gourmet Wine Evenings are a dinner party with a difference.
On the launch night in April, expect to see Meerlust owner Hannes Myburgh and the estate’s cellar master Chris Williams, as well as Johan Malan from Simonsig, Lowell Jooste from Klein Constantia, Kevin Arnold from Waterford, and Mike Ratcliffe from Warwick.
This is a rare chance to hobnob with iconic wine-makers while enjoying gourmet food. There’s no need to be intimidated. “Diners are encouraged to simply relax and enjoy the evening,” says Gawie Marx, Food and Beverage Manager. “It’s informal, and wine-makers and estate owners will mingle with guests throughout the evening. The chefs will also be around to talk to guests. The idea is just to have fun.”
There will be two Gourmet Wine Evenings every month from 23 April to 29 October and the cost is R249 per person.
