This week Eat Out multi-award-winning chef Ryan Cole took to social media to announce the opening of his new restaurant in Cape Town named COY. The restaurant will centre around “an ocean-inspired, African-led experience” and will be located in the iconic V&A Waterfront Precinct, one of the Mother City’s most popular locations.

 In 2023 Ryan was named Eat Out’s Woolworths Financial Services Chef of the Year at the Eat Out Woolworths Restaurant Awards and earned the title of BIRKENSTOCK Chefs’ Chef  – as voted for by his peers. His Camps Bay restaurant, Salsify at the Roundhouse, also garnered an impressive 3 stars for its overall dining experience.  

Heading up the kitchen team will be chefs Teenola Govender and Geoffrey Abrahams, both formerly of Eat Out star restaurant The Red Room by Chefs Warehouse.  

COY is set to open in August. We can’t wait to see what Ryan and his team have in store!
