According to Business Day Live, speciality ice cream brand Baskin-Robbins is looking to start serving its creamy dessert in outlets around South Africa over the next five years.
Listed under the franchisor Dunkin’ Brands Group (famous for the fast-food chain Dunkin’ Donuts), Baskin-Robbins is one of the world’s largest and best-loved ice cream chains.
Baskin-Robbins joins other international names such as Krispy Kreme and Starbucks, which are set to open in the country within the next few years.
The brand serves a whopping 31 different flavours with the idea that ice cream lovers can enjoy a different one for every day of the month. In other countries, Baskin-Robbins flavours range from classics like chocolate, vanilla and rocky road to more exciting scoops like cotton candy, ‘made with Snickers’ and ‘icing on the cake’.
There are no dates set for when they plan to land in South Africa, but we’ll be ready, spoons in hand.
