In keeping with new beginnings and a fresh start as the New Year slowly unfolds, one of Cape Town’s most famous seaside restaurants – the much-adored Blues in Camps Bay – has received a refreshing little menu nip and a sophisticated interior tuck.
After 20 years, the landmark eatery is taken into a slightly more relaxed direction with refreshed interiors, and a modern Italian menu including creations such as gorgonzola and pear salad with crispy bacon and walnuts; tempura style beer-battered fish and chips, as well as pizzas and gourmet burgers.
Live Jazz on Sundays will see a variety of local artists performing every weekend, further enhancing the eatery’s paired-down new outlook.
Additional good news: Blues has decided to do away with corkage fees, and now also offers scrumptious breakfasts.
