Eat Out’s Sustainability Award has evolved with a new name and vision – it’s now known as the Eat Out Woolworths Green Star Award. 

This prestigious award, sponsored by Woolworths, celebrates restaurants that take meaningful steps towards sustainability. It recognises those who champion environmental health, human well-being, and social justice, while supporting ethical farming practices with higher animal-welfare standards. 

Does your restaurant stand out as a leader in sustainability? Submit your entry below by 30 January 2025 to be considered for the award. 

 Restaurants will be evaluated across eight categories: 

• Localisation of food chain: Prioritising local suppliers and minimising food miles. 

• Sustainably produced products: Sourcing responsibly grown and ethically made ingredients. 

• Food waste and loss: Innovative solutions to reduce food waste. 

• Packaging and disposable items: Using eco-friendly materials and minimising single-use items. 

• Menu offerings: Highlighting sustainable and ethical choices on your menu. 

• Employment practices: Fostering fair and inclusive working environments. 

• Energy and water practices: Efficient resource management in your operations. 

• Added value: The opportunity to share your story with a short letter of motivation.
