Some of KZN’s best produce comes from the Dargle Valley and this market has plenty of it. Fruit and veg, free-range hen and duck eggs, free-range chicken and duck, homemade preserves, cakes and bakes, preservative-free dairy products and indigenous plants are just a view products you can get from the market. All produce comes from the valley, therefore quantities are small and the selection seasonal. The preservative-free cheesecake ice cream, preservative-free flavoured yogurts and handmade mozzarella come recommended.

Ethical shopper tip: Many of the producers are passionate about organic farming and conservation, but ask to make sure.
